Review: Experience at Clinic Vista Eye Specialist at Sutera Utama Johor Bahru

I took my elderly mother to Vista in Sutera Utama, Johor, for her annual eye checkup today. My mother has been a loyal patient here ever since attending one of their Eye Carnivals. Although she previously had her checkups at KPJ, she prefers Vista for its excellent service.

Issue:

My mother experienced blurred vision in her right eye and suspected cataracts.

Cost:

Checkup cost around RM200+, similar to KPJ.

Service:

The service at Vista was outstanding. Dr. Chai, who attended to my mother, was exceptionally gentle, patient, and friendly. He took the time to explain every detail and answer all of my mother’s questions without rushing. The staff and nurses were also exceptional, providing attentive care while checking and dilating my mother’s eyes.

Waiting Time:

As for waiting times, it’s worth noting that because the doctors give each patient thorough attention, there might be a wait of a few hours to complete all the steps and consultations. However, the waiting area was comfortable, with cozy chairs, a hot drink machine, and toys for kids, making the wait more pleasant for my nephew.

Diagnosis:

Dr. Chai determined that the blurred vision was due to moderate to severe dryness in my mother’s right eye, likely caused by her thyroid condition, rather than cataracts. He provided helpful advice and eye medication to address the dryness, which was a relief.

Overall:

Vista offers excellent care and a comfortable environment. We appreciate Dr. Chai’s thorough approach and are relieved it wasn’t cataracts.
